JERO Farm was founded in 2021 by Ms. Anne Arihomugisha, a dedicated mother and caregiver from Kitala village, Uganda. Faced with personal family health challenges and a community struggling with poor nutrition, Anne made the bold decision to resign from formal employment and pursue farming as the only pathway to solve the health challenge at her household and community levels. .
Driven by the desire to improve lives through better agricultural practices and nutrition, Anne launched JERO Farm in 2021 with a focus on sustainable farming, food and nutrituion security and health awareness. Her inspiring journey has made her a role model for many women and youth in Uganda having transited from zero passion in farming to becoming a mentor of young women in agribusiness. In recognition of her impact, she received the National Agro-Tourism Award in 2023 from the Ministry of Agriculture in Partnership with African Women Leaders in Agriculture (AWOLA).
Jero farm offers Bankable, Scalable and Market oriented Agrifood models in the following areas:- Farm Planning and Design, Agrotoursim, Extension and Advisory services, Agrifood based skilling, Value Addition & Product Development.
